🌿 Eco-Friendly Crafting
What makes this crochet pattern eco-friendly and sustainable?
THE YARN: I use only sustainable and eco-friendly yarn that has been ethically grown/raised and processed, putting the people and the planet first. This is why I chose 100% natural yarn for this pattern.
HANDMADE FOR LONGEVITY: Creating your own home decor promotes mindful consumption. This durable, handmade super chunky crochet blanket reduces the need for mass-produced alternatives.
THE SLOW YARN MOVEMENT: I’m participating in the Slow Yarn Movement. There’s far too much to talk about here, but please take a few minutes to learn about what this means by reading the article I wrote about the Slow Yarn Movement as part of my 6-part Sustainable Crochet Series.

Sizing:
The size chart below provides the total yardage of yarn needed by size. Since I recommend Lion Brand ReSpun Thick & Quick, I also provided the number of skeins you’ll need. For my color scheme, you’ll need approximately an equal amount for each color PLUS add an extra skein of the color you choose for the border.

The Timberline Chunky Crochet Blanket Pattern:

NOTES:
- The blanket is crocheted in turning rows
- Chain 2 never counts as a stitch. Do not skip any stitches at the start of each row; your first double crochet should be made in the very first stitch of the row
