I’m a bird person. I LOVE BIRDS. Their beautiful song, their vibrant colors. There’s just SO MANY different kinds of birds. I’ve lived in several places abroad and experiencing the birds in different countries has been such a joy. One of the places I’ve lived (and am going back to for several months next year!) is Costa Rica. One of their most celebrated birds is the Toucan. I hope I’ve done them all justice with my Louis the Toucan amigurumi crochet pattern. I am so freaking excited to get to finally share him with you. You can find his pattern up on my Etsy shop!

Here is a sneak peak at his story –
Call him “old fashioned” and perhaps a bit shrewd,
But Louis considers himself quite the dude.
He has always been drawn to the out-of-date ways
of the gentleman’s conduct they did in “those days”.
He will always say “please” when he makes a request
If the answer is no, he will never protest.
“Thank you” will follow – and that’s guaranteed
He will never forget and he’ll mean it indeed.
You’ll never hear gossip, a slander or curse,
slip past his beak while you two converse.
He’s respectful and patient, authentic and kind,
His language and manners are truly refined…
You can read the rest of his story which is included along with his pattern – a beautiful 11 page PDF document with detailed instructions and accompanied by LOTS of clear pictures to help you along the way. Find the Louis the Toucan Amigurumi Crochet Pattern here!
